The Licensed International Financial Analyst Program is a series of
three exams, with each exam taken successively. LIFA candidates may only sit for
one exam per exam date.
The LIFA exam is administered 260+ days per year,
worldwide. The LIFA exam is independently administered
at exam centers by Prometric,
Inc throughout the world.
Additional information:
- The prerequisite for
registration into the LIFA program is a U.S. bachelor's degree, or its non-U.S. equivalent or have five years of qualified, professional work experience or a combination of work and college experience that totals at least five years. If the bachelor's degree
is not yet earned, the degree requirement must be met by December 31 of the year
the LIFA exam is taken.
- The LIFA designation will be awarded when
the LIFA candidate:
- passes the Stage III LIFA exam
- signs
the Certificate of Conduct form
- signs the International Research Association
Membership form
- LIFA candidates may only sit for one exam per
exam date.
- The LIFA exam is a four-hour, multiple-choice exam.
- The
LIFA exam is administered worldwide and offered only in English.
- Each
correct answer is awarded 1 point.
No points are awarded or subtracted for answers left blank.
- The LIFA exam is pass/fail, based on overall
score. Individual scores and minimum passing score will not be released.
